In my regimen, I use the three cleansers below for different purposes.

  1. CHELATING (key-LATE-ing):

I use a chelating shampoo once a month, around the 24th of each month:  I just ran out of my ORS Creamy Aloe Shampoo, so I’ll be trying HairPrint Chelating Shampoo (it has all natural ingredients).
  2. STRANDS:

For “everyday” (i.e., regular) cleansing, I use the J. R. Liggett’s Shampoo Bar — Moisturizing Formula on my strands. The JRL moisturizing shampoo bar is a HOLY GRAIL product for me: It keeps my hair elongated and slippery during washing, making for easy and thorough removal of shed hairs and for easy and non-damaging detangling.
  3. SCALP:

I use a scalp cleanser whenever I use the JRL moisturzing shampoo bar, namely Cantu’s Apple Cider Vinegar Rinse. It gives my scalp a cool feeling. 🙂 A LongHairCareForum.com post and the Mane Objective’s review of Cantu’s Apple Cider Vinegar Rinse is what convinced me to first give it a try.

Note: Usually Cantu products do absolutely NOTHING for my hair. This rinse has great ingredients, so if like me you haven’t had much like with Cantu products in general, despite that, you still might give the ACV rinse a try. 😉

BACKUP CLEANSER:

Camille Rose Naturals Sweet Ginger Cleansing Rinse is my backup shampoo that I use when I just need to just get in and get out and wash quickly. At those times, I’ll use it alone, and I’ll use it on both my scalp and my strands.
