Hairobics Hair and Scalp Booster

WP_20170605_012

I plan to introduce use of Hairobics Hair and Scalp Booster later in the study. Its creator has VERY long hair, and this product is highly reviewed. I purchased it on sale for $4.99 (compared to its regular price of $8.95), and as of June 6, 2017 the sale is still on! NOTE: The creator advises pairing it with the Hairobics Leave-in for maximum benefit.

The INGREDIENTS for Hairobics Hair and Scalp Booster are:
Coconut Oil, Wheat Germ Oil, Almond Oil, Olive Oil, Sunflower Seed Oil, Aloe Vera, Walnut Oil, Jojoba Oil, Sage Oil, Vitamin E Oil, Peppermint Oil, Ginger Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil, Rosemary Oil, Lavender Oil, vegetable petroleum (vegelatum).

CurlyProverbz DIY (Do-It-Yourself) Hair Growth Oil

YouTuber CurlyProverbz uses an oil mix that she feels has grown her hair out (please see her video demo below). You can tweak the recipe to your liking. (I share my tweaked version below.) Others have tried CurlyProverbz’s hair growth oil, and like any product, it works for some and not for others. Some of the people who reported no accelerated growth did report increased retention (i.e., less breakage, fewer spit ends, etc.).

As of June 1, 2017, I haven’t used the oil long enough to know whether it accelerates my hair growth or not. Regardless, I really, really like the oil: The ingredients are AH-MAZING; it soothes the scalp; my version smells delicious; it makes my hair feel silky.

For my next and second batch, I plan to incorporate carrot seed oil and pumpkin oil . . . and maybe helichrysum oil (this latter oil is expensive, especially the organic version!). For my first batch, I used the following ingredients:

  1. 3/4 of a cup of coconut oil
  2. 3/4 of a cup of extra virgin olive oil
  3. 5 tablespoons of castor oil (I use Sally’s Mango & Lime Jamaican Black Castor Oil with Vitamin A, D, & E)
  4. 10 drops of rosemary oil
  5. 10 drops of peppermint oil
  6. 10 drops of tea tree oil
  7. 1-2 teaspoons of MSM powder . . . IMPORTANT: I’m working my way up gradually from 1/8 a teaspoon, as many folks recommend
  8. 1 tablespoon of henna (I use the nupur henna goodness of 9 herbs brand)
  9. 1/2 of a cup of fenugreek seeds
